UPDATE: Janet Napolitano's Department of Homeland Security is now apparently in the business of hiding from authorities illegal aliens who are known to be implicated in violent crime. Why? In an apparent effort to help bolster the numbers of illegals benefiting from Obama's administrative, transactional Amnesty, the Obama political machine is building up constituency for 2012 – and attacking the will of Congress and the American People!

mcdc_crimescene Immigration and Customs Enforcement, under the Obama Administration's direction, have been refusing to deport illegal aliens convicted of violent crimes. Many of these criminals have gone on to commit additional crimes – yet the Administration continues to block deportation, even as they decline to prosecute the repeat offenders.

Rep. Lamar Smith recently demanded DHS turn over the detailed data collected on these illegal aliens so that names can be compared to other criminal databases. DHS has in its possession the names, fingerprints and other detailed information regarding every suspect booked at federal, state and local jails. This information is supposed to be cross checked against immigration databases so that violent criminals can be immediately deported. The fact the DHS is refusing to release its data to Rep. Smith, indicates that the DHS information reveals confirmation of what we have all suspected for a long time – DHS is not deporting illegal alien criminals.
