President Obama is intimating that the GOP’s opposition to “increasing revenue” is the sole obstacle to achieving a deficit reduction plan. We should call his bluff and put forth proposals to increase revenue. Then, there will be no excuses for opposing a Balanced Budget Amendment.

White House advisor and "Car Czar" Ron Bloom has denied saying those words, but there are at least two, independent reports claiming that he did. See Bloom's testimony before a House Oversight hearing on June 22nd HERE.
PELOSI: 'STRONGEST SPEAKER IN 50 YRS'
MSNBC's Chris Matthews has made some curious on-air statements in the past (see: 'I felt a thrill going up my leg'). Last night he declared that former Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi was the strongest Speaker since Sam Rayburn held that post. See the video HERE.
OBAMA'S NEW MORTGAGE RULES MAY ALLOW YOU TO SKIP PAYMENTS FOR ONE YEAR
The new rules for FHA-backed mortgages will extend the grace period for missing payments from four months to an entire year. While the program does not cover private mortgages, the government says they are hopeful that the rest of the industry will follow its lead. See the details HERE.

The White House released its annual salary report last week, and as usual, it's nice to work for Barack Obama: Most staffers who were there for more than a year got a salary bump. A bigger one than you did.
