A CALL TO PRAYER
Hi everyone,
I am sending this important message. This message is from Ann Graham Lotz. I checked to make sure it was valid and therefore am sending it to you. I feel strongly that we should be praying for our nation, our church, our pastors and our leaders. Please consider accepting Ann's challenge. Blow the trumpet…sound the alarm…let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand - a day of darkness and gloom a day of clouds and blackness. Like dawn spreading across the mountains a larg and mighty army comes, such as never was in ancient times nor never will be in ages to come. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God… Joel 2:1, 13
Ann says...."While at home caring for my husband, I have had time to be quiet and listen more
to the whispers of the Spirit. He has revealed things to me in the stillness that I’m not sure I would have heard in my former busyness. One of the things He has impressed on me is that we are living at the end of human history as we know it. In light of this, He has given me some practical assignments. One was to be the Honorary Chair for the National Day of Prayer 2014 this past May. He gave me the message I was to deliver, which was from Joel 1…the Day of the Lord is at hand. It was a message warning of judgment that is coming.
Just recently, He has given me another assignment, which is to call His people in our nation to prayer.
This assignment came indirectly from a Syrian pastor through a National Day of Prayer attendee. In obedience, I am blowing the trumpet…sounding the alarm…issuing a national prayer initiative entitled 7 7 7: An Urgent Call to Prayer. The Call is for God’s people to pray for each of the first seven days in the seventh month—July 1-7. Then on the 7th day, July 7, we are to pray and fast for 7 hours.
The purpose is three-fold:
· For God the Father to restrain, protect, and deliver His people from the evil that has come into our world.
· For God the Son to be exalted, magnified, and glorified in His church, in our nation, and in our lives.
· For God the Holy Spirit to fall on us in a fresh way, compelling the church to repent of sin and our nation to return to faith in the living God, resulting in a great national spiritual awakening.

Why Celebrate America in DC? (July 1-19, DAR Constitution Hall)
The political climate is increasingly more divided, the economy worsening, our enemies strengthening and our forces depleting. We resemble nations of past who have imploded and had prosperity and freedom, destroyed from within. This truth which was once known as fact, is now called "radical" by those seeking to oppress it. Political correctness preaches tolerance for everything that we once questioned and dismantles everything we did not. Our Constitution and God given rights are fading through every act of compliance by the unyielding pressures to conform or be persecuted. Consent to each infringement upon these rights, is dissent from liberty.What is liberty? Liberty is freedom, with morals to guide the society. Freedom without morals, is a society where justice is not served. Too often now, the pressure to conform and give up pieces of our liberty, is from those who abuse their authority and power. Even worse is the fact we continue to elect them, read and watch their media and let them feed us lies and propaganda without recourse. This only fuels the fires brought on by those who base their conclusions on fear for themselves and their families, and determine it is better to rely on new laws and more government, to eliminate this fear. Yet, it is those same people who tell us what we can and cannot do, that are the first to exempt themselves from the same rules. Not only are these abusers of liberty elitist, they are clearly racist. They view the majority of Americans as unable to think and act within our moral standards, yet it is those same morals they dismiss as irrelevant. It is increasingly evident that many of our citizens are out of touch with this reality and feeling helpless, they rely on their faith in God to solve the problems.
We know that history is doomed to repeat itself if we have not learned and planned a new course accordingly, yet we are doing just that. We need some type of awakening... a unifying event, based not on fear (like 911), rather on our commonalities as human beings. We must remember why our forefathers fought and fled tyranny, corruption and religious persecution, because the great number of people around the world still look to us as the"land of the free and the home of the brave." It is time to be brave, if we are to stay free.
WE NEED another spiritual awakening like those of our past, if we hope to keep "liberty and justice for all".
